Prestigious award honor Atlanta’s 50 Fastest-Growing Private Companies

ATLANTA, GA – APRIL 27, 2012 — American Global Logistics was named a winner of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 16th Annual Pacesetter Awards honoring Atlanta’s 50 Fastest-Growing Private Companies. With revenue growth of nearly 316% between 2009 and 2011, AGL won the prestigious award for the second straight year — earning the 8th spot on the region’s leading business publication’s exclusive ranking.

The vision for American Global Logistics started with the desire to form and employee-owned company that allowed employees to take ownership of their roles and provide a great incentive to make the right choices for the company. Part of the company’s business strategy involved giving each client one point of contact during the entire logistics process. This foundation helped AGL go from $36 million in revenue in 2008 to over $150 million in 2011.

“AGL has assembled and all-star team, made up of top customer service professionals, whom we’ve worked with throughout the past 15 years. This has allowed AGL to grow at a very fast pace, primarily through referrals, while being able to maintain our service level,” said Chad Rosenberg, CEO.

AGL provides a range of expertise for clients, from ocean and air inbound and outbound logistics to warehouse and distribution and supply chain management.

Responsible for documentation and information management and deployment, AGL handles shipments that vary from less than container loads to full container loads as well as overweight and oversize cargo.

The company credits its growth over the past three years to its service model; which provides immediate and effective responsiveness to the client. Another major growth factor is the dedication of AGL’s employees, which helped the company maintain customers service throughout expansion.

“The biggest challenge with growing quickly in a service-based business is outgrowing your customer service, “ Rosenberg said. “ We are trying to maintain the fine line between accelerated growth, but not at the detriment of our high service level.”

Rosenberg expects AGL to continue growing at 20 percent to 30 percent over the next five years.

“We plan on partnering with one high-volume customer per quarter to control our growth and maintain our focus on customer service,” he said.

News: Container Services Donated by American Global Logistics Employee Foundation

Chad Rosenberg: Below is our latest announcement for AGLEF on supporting the Children’s International charity.

American Global Logistics Employee Foundation (AGLEF) has partnered with Children’s International to donate containerized freight services for two projects, one to Barranquilla, Columbia and one  to Guatemala City, Guatemala.  ”We are pleased and honored to partner with Children’s International on these projects.  Children’s provides need based supplies to some of the poorest areas in the world and we were fortunate to use our expertise in logistics to support this Charity” said Chad Rosenberg from AGLEF.

The American Global Logistics Employee Foundation was created in 2011 with a gift from American Global Logistics of $1million.  The goal of the foundation is to create a bridge for under served populations and organizations, that give individuals the opportunity to improve their lives.  We are an international organization that operates on a global scale, yet believes in the impact we can make by giving back locally.   AGLEF encourages its employees involvement who will assist and determine how the foundation will support the needs of our local communities.

As a nonprofit humanitarian organization, Children’s International strives to help children around the world overcome the burdens of poverty to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining and contributing members of society.  This goal is achieved primarily through child sponsorship, which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children’s immediate and basic needs, and gives them the tools and opportunities necessary for success.  In addition to sponsorship, we work to further improve the living conditions of children and families who live in poverty. Through  projects such as latrine building, clean-water initiatives and income-generation programs, we help families live healthier and happier lives.  We continue to provide safe, sturdy homes for impoverished families who suffer in substandard housing. Through our housing program, we’ve built hundreds of new homes for victims of natural disasters, such as hurricanes and fires; and thousands of homes have been repaired and upgraded with sturdy roofs and concrete floors.
